T20 World Cup: Group 1 Twins; Check out the full points table | Cricket

It was a dull day in the T20 World Cup on Thursday as both matches on Friday were bowled out. Afghanistan vs. Ireland and England vs. Australia were both scheduled to be played in Melbourne; however, the rain played a child as not even a toss took place in one of the two. As a result, the teams had to share the points that opened Group 1.

Ireland, who had earlier won against England, moved up to third place in the group after the game against Afghanistan. Mohammed Nabi’s team, however, held on for the second time in a game that was abandoned; After losing their first game against England, Afghanistan are at the bottom of the table.

England, meanwhile, reaped the rewards of their win over Afghanistan in their opening game of the tournament as they finished second in the group with three points to their name from as many matches. Although Australia also have three points from the game, a heavy loss against New Zealand means they remain fourth in the table due to their low net run rate.
