Having lost their first two matches, Pakistan now face the Netherlands in a must-win Super 12 match of the T20 World Cup 2022 at the Optus Stadium in Perth. The Babar Azam-led side will be looking to dominate their Dutch opponents to claim their first win of the tournament and Haris Rauf has been on fire. In the sixth over of the Dutch innings, the pacer took a nasty hit that injured batsman Bas de Lee.
On the fifth delivery, the Pakistani bowler bowled a short delivery and his bounce surprised the batter, who tried to slide it but hit the helmet. The Pakistani cricketers immediately rushed to examine him, followed by the physio. He had a small cut on his face and had to go to the dugout with physical therapy.

Netherlands also announced Logan van Beek as a concussion replacement with De Leede not back in bat.
At first, Holland won the toss and elected to bat. Dutch captain Scott Edwards said after winning the toss: “We’ll bat first, it looks like a great surface. There will be some pace and bounce, so we’ll have to stick to our plans. Stefan Myburgh, Brandon Glover, Roelof Van der Merwe are all back in the game.
Meanwhile, Pakistan captain Babar said, “We won’t be under pressure, but it won’t be easy for us. We have to focus on this game. In T20s, you need a good start in the top six. Our middle order is done. The patches are good, but we need to strengthen as a unit. Fakhar returned to Haider Ali.”
