After the innings, former India all-rounder Gautam Gambhir made a grand remark about Suryakumar’s innings, claiming it was the best T20 innings he had “ever seen”.

Is it the situation or the bowling. When he came in to bat, India were 50/5 (26/2) and if you can get 40 off 60 on a wicket like that…I haven’t seen a better T20 innings, to be honest,” Gambhir said. “Yes, you can talk about hundreds and other things, but it doesn’t get any better than that. For me, this is the best T20 innings ever played by an Indian,” Gambhir said.
