Newly-appointed Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Roger Binny praised former India skipper Virat Kohli for his gutsy knock to lead India’s stunning comeback against Pakistan in the 2022 World T20. Kohli’s T20 World Cup Super 12 stage defeats Pakistan. Babar Azam-led Pakistan stunned Zimbabwe in their second match of the T20 World Cup 2022 after their defeat by arch-rivals India.
Craig Erwin-led Zimbabwe on Thursday pulled off one of the biggest upsets in the 2022 edition of the T20 World Cup. The Sikandar Raza-led team beat Babar-led Pakistan by 1 run at the Perth Stadium. Pakistan’s loss to Zimbabwe has left Babar & Co close to an early exit from the T20 World Cup. Commenting on Zimbabwe’s memorable win over Pakistan, BCCI president Binny said it would be tough for Pakistan to make it to the last four after back-to-back losses.

“It’s good that junior teams are coming. Zimbabwe and Ireland have proved that in this T20 World Cup. You can’t take the smaller teams lightly. They can easily beat you. I think it will be difficult for Pakistan to reach this team. It will be my greatest joy and if this but cricket is a funny game, you never know, it can happen anytime,” BCCI president Binny was quoted as saying. ANI.
Babar-led Pakistan will hope to end their winless run at the 2022 World T20 on Sunday. The 2009 World Champions take on the Netherlands in Match #29 of the T20 World Cup (Super 12 Group 2) at the Perth Stadium. Babar-led Pakistan are ahead of Netherlands in the Super 12 (Group 2) points table. Former world champions India are top of Group 2 with four points from 2 matches. The Rohit-led Indian team will take on runners-up South Africa in Group 2 of the T20 World Cup on Sunday.
