Pakistan have their campaign in the balance after losing to Zimbabwe by one run in the 2022 World T20 Cup earlier this week. The defeat led to Pakistan’s worst ever start in a World Cup, losing to India by four wickets in their opening game in Melbourne last Sunday. Post the loss to Zimbabwe and facing massive backlash for Babar Azam’s leadership in this game, his seven-year-old tweet endlessly trolled the Pakistan captain.
Babar has not had a great start to his 2022 World T20 campaign, either as a leader or as a batsman. Babar, who finished as the leading run-getter in the last edition of the T20 World Cup in the UAE, had a memorable performance with a golden duck and 4 runs in his first two matches. Veteran cricketers also resented his captaincy calls in terms of choices and decisions during matches.

Pakistan still have a mathematical chance in the T20 World Cup. They need to win their remaining three matches and hope South Africa and Zimbabwe lose at least 2 out of the three matches.
Pakistan will next face the Netherlands in Perth on October 30.
