Watch: Suryakumar Relives Kohli’s Wild Celebration After Brilliant Hit In Toilet | Cricket

Middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav, who enjoyed a growing partnership with run machine Virat Kohli at the T20 World Cup in Australia, revisited the action he completed against the Netherlands ahead of India’s clash against South Africa on Friday. Prime Ministers Surikumar and Kohli laid the foundation for India’s match-winning run against the Netherlands in their second Super 12 match at the ICC World T20 2022 on Thursday.

After playing against Babar Azam-led Pakistan in India’s opening World Cup match, former India skipper Kohli extended his free-scoring streak for the Rohit Sharma-led side by scoring the most against Holland. Playing an important cameo against the Scott Edwards-led team, Kohli’s partner in crime Suryakumar smashed his maiden half-century in the T20 World Cup.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, Suryakumar enjoyed Kohli’s wild celebration after he completed his half-century on the last ball of the Indian innings at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). “Review. Reflection. Repeat,” Suryakumar said succinctly while writing his post on the photo and video sharing platform. Earlier, Kohli and Suryakumar’s joyous celebration was an instant hit with fans and followers of the game on social media.

In the 23rd match of the T20 World Cup between India and Netherlands at the SCG, Kohli remained unbeaten on 44 off 62 balls while Suryakumar scored 51 off 25 balls. Half-centuries from Rohit, Kohli and Suryakumar took India to 179-2 in the 20th over. In reply, Netherlands were 123-9 in 20 overs as India registered a comfortable 56-run win on Thursday.

“We needed to score around 8-10 and get a total that our bowlers could easily defend. Very happy with the way things are going. Enjoying batting with him (Kohli), the thoughts when both of us are batting are very clear. If I get a few boundaries early, our partnership should be extended and that’s what we’re doing,” said Suryakumar, who was named the man of the match.
